What color is your committee?

Shiny, happy place to be.

Isn't this environment just magical? I'm looking forward to meeting Christof Jantzen, the architect, WU SFS faculty. This is the Genzyme Center in Cambridge, Mass, and achieved LEED Platinum certification.

The earth is round.

And here we go round and round: shouldn't a poster about a program in landscape architecture include an image of (wait for it) a landscape? And while we're at it, can we just compliment the timing on this one; awesome shadow.

"Design is a powerful conduit for change."

Said conference, AIGA Make|Think in Memphis, unveiled The Living Principles through AIGA's Center for Sustainable Design. This was one of the most powerful presentations -- outlining the four streams that are the keys to sustainable design. Which basically reiterates the streams of influence of our work. Environmental protection, social equity, economic health, cultural vitality -- check it out for yourself: www.livingprinciples.net, and be prepared to be blown away.

In these tough Economies.

A twist on one of my recurring phrases: "In these tough economic times..." blah blah. One of my least favorite mentalities. Let's just make sure we remind everyone at all times how horrible their lives are. Swell.

This is my second conference program this month! I won't be attending this one, either, even though it's here in town. Any conference material item is always under the gun, but I would do anything for this fabulous client.

Of course the conference I did attend recently didn't have a conference program in the form of a brochure at all. I did enjoy the daily schedules all on different pages, folded to fit in your lanyard, along with tickets you needed for any special event you signed up for. However at a whopping 5x7 inches, this was quite the fashion accessory.
